Does A Billiard/Pool Table Design Affect you Mentally

That's a very interesting question. I've never heard anyone bring it up before. I've never played on a table such as the ones in the pictures from the website you posted. I think the table design quickly fades in importance in one's mind after playing on the table for 30 minutes or so.

But in my case a well designed and well kept table (such as a nice Diamond or Gabriels), in an inviting setting can really get my interest up in playing good pool. So in that sense it sets the mood.

I can't say that a table design has ever affected my concentration, unless it's something like cheap rubber on the pocket irons that leaves a residue on the cuestick. My concentration is more affected by ambient noise, dirty equipment, and the like.
