Does anyone know a guy named Alfredo from NY?

There's some guy that is reportedly on St. Thomas by the name of Alfredo (no last name provided), and the line on him is that he's a champion (runs 200+ balls, etc.) who hails from the NYC area. I thought I knew about most of the top players in that area, and the only person I could think of would be Al Lapena. Does anybody here know of anyone else who could fit that description? If so, please PM me.

Thanks, folks!

Not I- It seems a bit odd that Al Lapena would be described in straight pool terms but Al is a bit of a mystery man IMHO.

That was my thinking too! He was also described in 9-ball terms too, as regularly beating Jeanette Lee giving her the 7-ball, but if I hadn't heard anything about him playing straights, I would have assumed automatically that they were talking about Al.

One thing that struck me, though, is the talk about him giving Jeanette the seven, not because of the spot, but because I was under the impression that Jeanette stopped gambling some years ago. Can anyone confirm that she in fact no longer gambles?

He has an amazing stroke, the filipino wave. Watching him on the joss tour is a treat.
