I have been dealing with Helmstetter & Adam Qs since 1981. Dick Helmstetter was one of the 1st to come out against the use of IVORY in Qs. I have this Q listed in the 1994 (HELMSTETTER V.I.P. SERIES S-10) ,price list WITH NO IVORY at $710 retail. Used price is about $350 in VERY GOOD condition...JER

I agree Jerry, I've never seen a Helmsteter or any Adams cue with Ivory. Same with Meucci's. Every one who brings one into my shop are sure that their Meucci's are full of Ivory.

What did Helmstetter/Adams use as an ivory substitute? How did it hold up over time?

I agree Jerry, I've never seen a Helmsteter or any Adams cue with Ivory. Same with Meucci's. Every one who brings one into my shop are sure that their Meucci's are full of Ivory.

Hey Dickie, are you saying that Meucci never used real ivory? I do know that they used alot of imitation on say their patriot pa=5. Just wondering about some of their butt caps like on their MTC modles.
