Does It Matter How Tips Are Stored?

So I note there are some original Moori's for sale here.

And I'm wondering: do tips dry out? Does it matter if tips are decades old? Nowadays, many tips come in blister packs -- I assume to preserve their minty freshness. My gut tells me it's better if they are sealed, but I dunno.

Thoughts?

How long has it been since original moori's were produced? 20 years?
I use them on all of my cues and have since about 92 but it seems like it has been 20 years since the last original.
Myself I would be leary of paying the ridiculous price I was quoted in January for a "original". I don't know what kind of shelf life leather or more important the glue has.
Let us know if you try one,I would like to know if they play the same.

In my experience, tips don't dry out. Now and then I'll try out a Champion or Le Pro from the 70s. Just like new. That's 50 years old. I have decades old Mooris as well. Just like new. I think the tanning process pretty much prevents that. Leather car seats as well. Decades old, if unused, they're just as good as new. They get tanned as well.
