Does One Pocket ?

You’re unlikely to learn much about this game without playing the game for the goods(money).
I learned from paying a professional instructor than playing for cash. I realize a cash game will make the player be more deliberate, take "good" risks...however in my case the advantage of the proper instructor is.... can stop the game to explain the situation, discuss the various next moves/choices. Learn the Take Outs... discuss how to win, how not to lose, survive, be aggressive, turn defense into offense, trapping and element for the trap, how to play a stronger player, play the score and more. Pool is something I cannot learn on my own. That's just me. Another advantage to an Instructor ....can take lessons at a convenient time...not go to room and seek a game. Regardless whatever it takes... The fun goes on and on.

Sad to Me only, Was my meaning, My whole world beside this forum is Joy Chinese 8 Ball, Has been now for about 8 years, I can't play anymore... Guy
Do the best you can. This forum is fun. Lots of personalities. Everyone is here for whatever reason. If we learn something or have fun bullshitting that’s a great thing.

That’s right

Guy is a hell of a guy 😃

I always enjoy his posts and we need to be there for him, thick and thin. He’s a pool player for longer then some of have been alive. I’m 55 played over 40 years and that’s nothing.

We have to be there for our people and players. It’s the life we chose

Your talking to a man thats dieing... I'm trying to see if 1 pocket game will bring in outside viewers to the pool games and not get bored watching... to see if just maybe there is a simple way for the nonplayer to understand the game... Guy
non-hardcore players have zero interest in 1p or 14.1 Most players i know don't watch any pool much less esoteric games like these. These are niche disciplines that exist in a already niche game.

How does 1-P help with your 9-ball (or 10-ball or even 8-ball) break ?
It doesn’t, good point. I never could break anyways. But remember the break is about 8-10% of the shots you’ll take playing 9/10B.

Since we are splitting hairs-let’s go!!!!!

Fatboy, always ready!!!!😂😂

9 ball absolutely. Better safes & locking up the cue from 1p. I’m not a 9 player but 1 helps my 9 ball game. Plus better kicking.

You MISSED the KEY word:: break
