Dog Eat Dog

"Dog eat dog"...I agree completely. But will things change? Perhaps after pigs fly.

On dressing up? One line I vehemently disagree with!

"And it is even the same with cars – you can see the front light of a Porsche 911 in your rear mirror for just a part of a second and you instinctively get out of his way. And I strongly believe it is quite the same in pool."

I drove a 911 for over 30 years. Let me assure you...the "slow is safe" brigade in the USA will block you off in the left lane every chance they get. Their weapon of choice these days seems to be a Prius sporting an Obama bumper sticker.

Today I drive a Bullitt Mustang...they pull over for that. Probably because cops here use Mustang pursuit vehicles.

Hi pwd72s

First of all - how did you come up with this name :) pwd72 I can see but what does the s mean?

But back to the post: what is your opinion about the dress codes?

interesting

Great blog post. I spend a lot time around rodeo and the sportsmanship is off the charts. It's almost amazing how far people will go to help each other, even though they are fiercely competitive. The cowboys and cowgirls seem content with the outcome so long as they did their best.
It seems like pool players should have a similar approach. All we can do is play the table the best we can. We have no control over the opponent. Why can't we be more gracious when we come up a lil short?
I only compare rodeo to pool because I find it to be more a way of life than it is a mainstream sport. The same could be said for pool.
And there certainly is a dress code in rodeo, whether competing or being in the arena in any other role.
