Don "The Preacher" Freeny

Don Feeney was at Shooters Billiards in Burnsville MN about 4 weeks ago. He was in the Minneapolis area visiting a relative. He stopped in a couple of times and shot some 14.1, still plays a great game.

Good news....glad to see Don can still play.
 
I asked Bert directly and his understanding is Don shot a maximum 147 in Snooker on that magic day. Said Don was a scratch golfer also.

yes don feeney does currently live in the Villages ,fl.. He is in his mid eighties and still shots very well...
He is always ready to lend a helping hand..

Don was the house pro where I played in Downers Grove IL back in the early 90's. I was just getting hooked on pool, he worked with me a lot on my stroke and the Diamond System. He "preached" about loose grip and relaxed wrist and timing. He really taught me a lot and never charged me a penny. He even got me a gig as a referee in 1994 in Il. I want to say it was the world 9 ball because there was players from all over the world playing but if I remember they were invited to play so I'm not really sure if it was the world 9 ball.
