I just came back from the Super Billiards 2 Expo in Valley Forge PA and got a chance to see some Downey cues in the Mueller booth.

A few of them looked very good to me so I am curious to hear some opinions on these cues. Any thoughts on how they hit, shafts, quality of construction, how they hold their value etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have had Troy Downey's and currently do now. HIs work is fricking top notch. He does not come close to the respect he deserves. Thats because of Mueller. But, David Kikel use to I know if not still have cues in there catalog. He cnc's to and Troy does not. I have a great one now and I have a one of a kind mind blowing fancy on the way. So does DanLamb. Thanx Aaron 815-243-1101

I agree with painpool. I used to have 2 of them and sold them both, big mistake on my part. Not to sure how good they are on the resale market as I always lose my ass when selling cues. Anyhow I would highly recommend a Downey cue for its craftsmanship and playability.

Downey Cues

I got one on a trade and I shot league with it a couple nights and liked it. I wouldn't mind heading to Lincoln to see his operation. It's only about 30 minutes from me. Being here in NE I see a lot of his cues and can't say a bad thing about any of them. They look good and I have heard no complaints about them in any regard.
