Hey Keith, does that name ring a bell. we have a new guy here in albany and he states he used to go on the road with you back in California. Sorta short guy, maybe 5'8"... maybe 160lbs. dark shin,maybe dark olive....was just wondering. he is a pretty decent 1 pocket player...just thought i would ask thhe question. say hi to Jen for me, You are 1 lucky guy keith. by the way, why no reno tournament for you...........................................mike
 
Could you possibly have the name wrong? I know of a “Downtown Tommy Brown.” He is about the same height, dark skin (Tanned) from Holly Hill (near Daytona), wares fairly thick glasses and has one bad eye, and owns Browns Billiards.

nope, definately downtown eddie brown. he is from california and grew up with keith out there,,,,,,mike
 
Eddie Brown

He used to live in Phoenix for awhile, I believe. During the early 80's, he was a hell of a player, always matching up late night at Golden 8 ball. IF, it's the same "Downton Eddie Brown".

you got him. same one. in fact he was telling me today that he is thinking of moving right back to az someplace soon. hell of a 1 pocket player. never have seen his 9 ball game. how strong does he play. always uses a house cue here...or has for about 3 months.................mike

That is a hard question to answer, It's been 20 yrs or so since I have seen him. He USED to impress the hell out of me, to be frank. BUT, that was 20 years ago, and I was a little easier to impress then too.. it's hard to say.

I used to know him as AZ Eddie Brown. There is also an Eddie
Brown from New Orleans that has that "downtown" moniker. He is also
Harahan Eddie.
AZ Eddie moved to Ga about 10 years ago for about a year and then moved back. I heard some rumors and things but never heard anything solid until this post. He played good back then when I knew him but IMO lacked heart.
I was with a friend a coupld times and he played Eddie. Never had any problems except he quit one set winner once after agreeing to play a certain
amount. I only saw him play nineball.
