dp cues

ENOUGH SAID IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT CUES...

Wow! That says a lot!

I tried one that a guy at one of the local rooms wanted to sell me. I'm not a real good judge of a superior playing cue, but I was reasonably impressed with the hit of it. If the guy didn't want too much money ($300) for it I would have liked to own it... except for the shaft had a pretty noticeable warp in it.

Anyway, those photos in the other thread have convinced me to let them pass on Ebay at any price. Amazing what kind of shoddy workmanship can lie underneath a spiffy exterior.

However, you can't find more for your money.

I do have two very close friends using them with no issues but I have warned them to be gentle.

I just wish he'd recognize the issue where they have been known to break at the joint and end of the weight bolt. It's just an obvious issue and it's not difficult to change that yet he didn't care. That's what pissed me off. It's ignorant and careless.

Quality over quantity:
Like if you want to sleep with a woman for instance. You'd like an 8/10, right? Two fours doesn't equal an 8. Lol. At least in my book. Lmao.

If the guy wasn't happy with his Ebay purchase, he should of filed a dispute and returned the cue for a full refund.

I was happy with my eBay purchase, but the cue broke after I bought it. It was a neat cue for $100. However, whoever was doing quality control must have been sleeping. The joint was off center, the shaft was rough, and the overall fit and finish was poor. It's comparable to the $40 McDermott Lucky cue that I have.

Two players, in our APA division, have Dale Perry cues with aftermarket shafts. I've inspected the butt's on both and they are constructed similarly to how mine was. That's inexcusable. Save the $100 and put it towards a better cue.

I've read it all before. If I came on here and cried about every bad cue I got from production companies, I'd be on here every week.

Dale Perry makes a good cue and is the best deal on Ebay.

If you don't want to take my word for it, you can go with one of

these other opinions.

People would love to have a feedback rating that Dale has on Ebay.

Can't be that many bad cues going out his door.

Continue on with the tears......

I have played with numerous cues... everything from productions up to southwestern and herceks and many in between. My house was robbed and my cues where stolen 4 years ago. A friend at the pool hall gave me a DP that was built in the mid to late 90's . I always had the same impression that most on this forum have of them. To my surprise this cue plays as good as any cue I have shot with.. its straight as an arrow with no production flaws and I am not as careful with this cue as I have been with others.. I also break with it and I break around 27 MPH .... just my 2 cents

This one may have been one of his older custom cues. These are completely different than his eBay production cues. They were constructed better but unfortunately their values tanked when he came out with the cheap ones. Too bad...

My DPs are awesome .they lean against the wall in my poolroom most of the time. They are dead straight and anyone that's inspected the cues say the same thing.... They can't find anything wrong with it. I've had them for 2 to 3 years
Both my cues have the stage 1V shafts.

Yes, I was told this was from when he made the cues himself. It plays lights out.

Sorry I don't know how to do the thread inserts as of yet

Save your money. Some are good ....some not so. Don't pay more than $99-125.

This guy still has his health ???

The last one I got has great bacote wood but I let a guy use it at league. He missed a 9 ball and proceeded to throw it across the room.

That's Rediculas . .

I thought it was ridiculous too but I'm not going to assault anybody over a DP cue, even if it was a pre-eBay one. He's paid for my bar tab like 5 times since then. I figure we're square now.

He has to play off the wall from now on though.

One of my customers just had another one started with a horrible A joint vibration/ rattle. Never broke with it and its 6 months old.
