2nd time around

I posted the following under the tournaments forum but I thought I would post it here where it might be seen more....

Could someone please explain to me where people (DP & willz) keep getting their info from? Are they trying to go by the points system or are they trying to go by the seeding list? Either way, it's still not right.

Johnny Archer is RANKED #3, SEEDED #1
Charlie Williams is RANKED #4, SEEDED #7
John Schmidt is RANKED #55, SEEDED # 16

These #'s are directly from the UPA website, which was updated today, prior to this post. When advertising for such events, do you go by seeding, or ranking? Ranking? That would be Shawn Putnam as #1 & Thorsten Hohman as #2.

All of these guys bust their rears and play their hearts out to get the rankings that they have... At the very least, you would think that someone that says they promote pool would give the Shawn Putnam's and the Thorsten Hohman's the respect they deserve by mentioning the correct rankings. This is like the 3rd or 4th time in a month....

It's new math, Timberly! Same thing happened to Jose Parica several years ago. He was ranked No. 2, and when an advertisement came forth in the form of a press release, his name was at the very bottom of the heap in a font so small that I needed my eyeglasses to read his name.

What counts is not necessarily the size of the dog in the fight, what counts is the size of the fight in the dog.
