There is a video out there with Judd Trump doing some amazing things on the snooker table.
Naturally I can't find it again, but one of his drills was perfect for straight pool.
I don't normally shoot drills, but this one might be worth the effort.

The object is to pocket the shot and have the cueball hit the five balls in succession that are lined up on the second diamond.
I made a video.

I was shown this drill in about 1999. I think it's a good one for all games. I never knew the drill had a name.

Cool. As a rule, all drills that force you to cross the range of strokes accurately off the same shot are valuable in your development.
