Drivermaker Poem

It's not my intention to carve you up and it never was. Unfortunately, the written word on a forum such as this can NEVER exhibit the true meaning or intention that a writer might have in a face to face real life atmosphere. I started out kidding you about the similarities of the two sports having no relationship to each other in your post, where you were showing that they do, and I carried it over into a whole host of other possibilites. You took it as sarcasm and a slam/flame war. And although I don't believe that any of it carries over from pool to golf as Mosconi did, it was still originally done with a light hearted feeling behind it. In real life I am a fun loving jerk off, like most. Sometimes egos can be a little touchy and all of the icons or smilies won't do a damn thing. And if you don't use them, as I didn't do if I recall, than it can be interpreted in many different ways.
Tap tap tap to the both of you. Let's get back to the fun loving ways we all like to see on here. Peace.

My Take On It

I have been a joker all my life. I have spent a lot of time " kidding around " and being a clown. Often times, others didn't see it the way I meant it. This causes problems. It is a sensitivity issue. My wife will has brought this up to me (she has been the victim of my sense of humor for 30 years). I have hurt feelings and made people angry with my " kidding around ". So guys and gals, if you are just kidding around, please make it evident. That way nobodys feelings get hurt and the flame wars don't even get started. I ain't pointing any fingers either, we all probably do it.

good one dm, lmao

If you get to know the drivermaker as I have, you will find he is a really nice guy and very intelligent and knowledeable. You have had your roast, it's time to live and let live and cut the guy a little slack.

Could you folks just please put each other on your "ignore" list? The "ignore" list is a blissful experience if you've never tried it. You will never have to read anything by the other again. It really works! ;)

Drivermaker and I have exchanged PM's and decided to bury the hatchet.I'm not the type to carry on an extended grudge and neither is he.My apologies to any who were offended.RJ

ps. Not that flaming wars are good thing on Billiard forums, however, 3268 hits on the Corey Deuel thread and another 541 on the Drivermaker poem only goes to show that in sort of a twisted way people either enjoy this stuff, hate it, or at least were tempted to check in to satisfy their curiosity. :D

Yep, it's what makes the (internet) world go round...

Thanks,

Oh yes, you are feeling tortured, there's no question about it. Too bad loser.
There are no masses because nobody gives a shit besides you. Don Purdy knows, so does Blud, FL does -email him, Drake knows, and Wayne knows a lot but not everything yet. BTW, there's a guy that I'm really impressed with.
.

Drivermaker,

Would not respond to this poem anymore, if I were you. We have emailed a few times and I feel I know you a little. No need to defend yourself, because in doing so ur digging ur own grave.

IMO, anyone who would post such a poem...hmmmm Will not go any further with that one.

Laura

Dear Bluewolf and Whitewolf,

With the last two posts, I feel that I'm being attacked by a wolfpack :p LOL.

Yes I admit my poem was mean spirited and yes I acknowledge some mean spirited things were said about me as well.I made a mistake plain and simple, no doubt about it.

The bottom line is that Drivermaker and I have made our amends (as apologies were made via PM's) and we are cool with each other.I also made a group apology for my actions in an earlier post. What more can I do?

If you've never judged anyone (or made a mistake that you regret) then continue to feel free to judge me.I've heard it once said, "He that is without sin cast the first stone."

Hopefully you'll find in your heart to forgive me and we can all move on and talk about pool. If not, I won't retaliate.Take care,RJ

You hit the nail on the head, in a twisted way, they do want to come in for the daily dog fight to see which dog tears off the ear of the one down on the ground. I suggest to the people who do enjoy this, try network TV, you can have your entire afternoon filled with this drama and soaps, and the people there are a lot better looking than on these forums. I thought your poem showed real talent, so sad it was used in a negative fashion. You should channel that talent into a positive function. Rama.

RJ,

I have never before seen a hateful post coming from you, so this one surprised me a bit. My advice to drivermaker related to a lesson I learned the hard way. If you do not keep things going by defending yourself, then things generally die a normal death. Not only that, but the defending often makes the defender look even worse than the original post.

I am glad you guys made amends. That is all anyone can do. None of us is perfect, really and it is all to easy to push that send button then think later that it might not have been so funny. Humor and satire does not often come across in the written word, also, so it is difficult at times to ascertain whether a person is trying to be funny or is being inflammatory.

I do think that how we interpret and respond to a posts often tells more about us and our issues than it does about the post we are responding to. So when I post a response or anyone else does, we are revealing a little piece of ourselves that we do not realize.

Good luck in your pool and hope you are doing better than I LOL

BTW-unfortunate that ww and bw came right after each other. I post from home and often do not even know that he has posted. He also does not listen to me when I tell him that posting certain things will reflect on me in a negative way, like guilty by association, or something along those lines.

Thanks Laura ,much appreciated. My poem was distasteful, wrong and stupid in many ways. However, hatefull is a strong word.Never did I feel any hatred towards Drivermaker. In a sick way I was having some fun and in a way so was he.He even admits to funning with me.

The problem is , is that when words are being written on the internet, it's so impersonal that no-one really knows how the other is really feeling about things or their motives.

As far as the wolf pack thing goes I never felt any association between Bluewolf and Whitewolf and I was mearly joking as attested with my LOL indicator and smiley face :p on my original response to your first post.It was all in the names. It's all good! Lessons are learned, life goes on. Take care, Laura,RJ

Can we look at another side of that coin?

By not defending yourself you can appear to be weak and unwilling to stand up for yourself. It may also appear by your silence that what was said was true.

Thats a good point Willee.I remember reading the flame wars between you and a few others at req sport billiards....man some of those guys were mean. I remember one guy argued that he could make better cues than you.You had the nuts to display pictures of your cues and when it came to showdown time, he wouldn't display pics of his.Kinda showed me that he was the idiot.Take care Willee.

I was the real idiot for taking part in that crap for so long.
What did it prove anyway?
What bothered me most is when I shared some process that others said wouldnt work for this reason or that reason. Course most of them were not cuemakers so how could they know anyway. It sure made me wonder about the cuemakers that told me something could not be done when I had been doing it and getting good results. I learned to not offer that kind of information in public anymore. Their loss not mine.

It took four years but I think I have finialy learned there is no point in arguing with someone over some silly bull. I will defend myself and offer an ocational opinion but will no longer take part in a long drawn out debate over nothing.
