Corey versus Shawn Putnam in DCC 1p, probably 2005 or 2006, he uses the 8-ball break one time in that match. IIRC, he forgot to call his pocket, made a ball in Shawn's hole (which would have been Corey's hole had he explicitly called it), and left Shawn a wide-open rack... which he inexplicably failed to run (although I may be getting that part confused with another match).
There was also an older tournament where I saw Corey use the hard break against Shannon Daulton, but I regret that I can't remember which tourney or year. Corey's reasoning, I think, was that if he was playing somebody he knew he couldn't outmove, he may as well break hard and try to run out.
