I have a Dufferin Ebony Hi-Run with a butterfly spliced butt; I'm looking to get this beauty converted.

View attachment 16808

I have decided on everything about the cue except the builder to do the conversion.

That is why I'm posting.....

Would you give your opinion on who does/would do a great job with conversions and use 5/16x14 piloted joints.
Or, maybe one of the builders who frequent this site would like to recommend their own services.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Thank You.

Just a note: no matter how many times you post this today or how you spell it, it's still not in the right place. You don't seem to be selling it.

Correct, I'm not a selling anything.
Since it is called the Wanted/For Sale Forum, I listed what I wanted.
And, I want to purchase the conversion service of a cue builder.

Thank You,

I persume from your moniker you are from San Diego. I would check with the local builder Dave Whitsell. He does a nice conversion. He has been building cues for a long time. He's in the bluebook. He can be found at his store Quality Billiards or PM me for phone #.

Alex Brick has done conversions of this same Dufferin model - they hit very stiff, but I know players who love them. The one I owned had a 3/8x11 pin.

Tom of TNS does a jam up conversion, Ivory 3/8 X 10 pin, Ivory Hoppe ring, Ivory ferrules, his shafts are a full profile and his conversions hit solid, as Nick he has shot with mine, it's a hitter...............

I owned a Judd Fuller, Dufferin conversion that was made from a cue, just like this one. I bought the last one that he made, he can no longer find these to make the conversions from. He does excellent work.

I second the judd. I have a butterfly conversion that I was selling for 1400. I've seen a conversino like that by judd and they run anywhere from 5-600 for a SP. i would pick judd for the playabillity, collectibility, and affordability. Although there are many other cuemakers I would recommend judd is a very nice choice and the first that comes to my head when it comes to that particular conversion.

I would check with Paul Mottey. In my opinion he is one of the premier cue builders out there. Take care and good luck, George
