Dufferin silver leaf custom sneaky?

I got ahold of a couple old dufferin silver leaf house cues, with a nice brown tone wood and long dark grain lines. Solid looking cue, thinking about getting it chopped and redone. Anyone got any silver leaf conversions, to get some ideas, or really just dufferin conversions in general. Thanks guys.

One of my first cues was a Dufferin conversion, I have second I will do someday.

It was my player for a while, but now has become my breaker since I made my Titlist conversion.

I one converted, and it is my breaker now. Ot was cored, and the butt is crazy stiff. Threw a rogue break shaft on it and it just plays amazing.

i had one done and hits great. also so the joint fits all my other 5/16 14 shafts.

old wood from house cues and such make great conversions. just wrap it and joint to fit other shafts and off you go.
and put thread in the original shaft and you got two shafts and a nice hitting cue for less than some crappy production cue made with green wood.

Who did you go to and what was the ball park price?

a friend who generally wont do these so i cant help you. but proficient billiards is the go to for all normal work.
best quality and price.

just a guess if simple with a shaft around 300 plus.

there is a guy that is a cue maker in costa rica that has a nice looking conversion for 300 on about page 15 in the for sale section.
its heavy though.

I have a green leaf Dufferin cue hard to find in this condition 30yrs old or more, i was thinking of converting it but it plays good and it's straight has a snooker tip10.5 mm or 11 not sure . Wonder what it would cost to convert it to a pool cue.I might keep it as is.

I messaged proficient the other day, he's not taking any custom orders at the moment

if you have a shaft you like then most cue makers can just put a joint on to match your shaft. not much in cost if nothing else is done.

Yes this is the easiest way to go with a Duff- just have the butt cut - add a joint screw / match the butt to your desired shaft.
Troy Downey at Mueller’s will do this for you at a very reasonable cost and it will be perfect for play- I had him do one for me once. If you do not have a shaft he can make one for you at your specs. Mueller Recreation Products online - talk to Chris via their 800 number.
I also just had Proficient cut down an old valley cue butt for me and match it to my own old Adam SP shaft / hits as good as any Scruggs SP . Scott would probably do this for you on a Duff if you are not needing a fancy conversion with inlays and ring work.
