My in-house cue maker passed away. So, I'm looking for what equipment I need to replace tips and ferrules on my house sticks and for the occasional customer that walks in needing a new tip and/or ferrule. I want to be able to turn a 14mm ferrule down to fit the shaft. I have absolutely no interest in going beyond these task. It has to handle house cues.

That said, with all the stuff out on the internet I'm skeered I'll buy the wrong stuff.... What is a good turnkey setup I can buy to do this?

Yes, I'm stupid when it comes to working on cues but I've got plenty of house cues to practice with and I did watch him a lot. I miss you Bobby Callahan!

I have a Hightower, it works good for what you are wanting to do. You can also add to it. Mr. Chris is a super nice guy. Glad that I bought my first lathe from him, no regrets.
One thing I would recommend is to get the large bore head. It may not seem like you need it, but you will and without it. working on the rear of a cue is almost impossible.

Give Chris Hightower a call. He will tell you exactly what you need and no more. Hes talked me out of buying something I didnt need. His customer service is top notch.

Chris would be my first choice but Todd has about the same customer service just not as many choices. You can't go wrong with either. They are both terrific people.
