Massachusetts’ Joe Dupuis has been known as a member of the New England pool community in a way that’s similar to (though not nearly for as long as) Vermont’s maple syrup, New Hampshire’s mountains, Maine’s lobsters, Massachusetts’ Mayflower, Rhode Island’s size and (we had to look this up) Connecticut for its nutmeg (see note at the bottom of this report about the strange reason that Connecticut is known as The Nutmeg State).
