I'm headed to the Netherlands next week and I'm thinking of bringing my cue just to sell. It's a Joss, and I was wondering if there's any real market out there for it?

This is really strange that you posted this thread. I am heading to Amsterdam on the 21st September and currently planning the trip.

These are the best 3 clubs that I have found which we will be going to:

http://www.club-8.nl/
http://www.planbovertoom.nl/
http://www.indegracht.nl/

I have been researching these for the past week so definitely take your cue. There are some great players in Amsterdam such as Rico Diks and Nick Vandenberg who coaches at Club 8. There also seems to be regular small club competitions and I am hoping a little action.

Enjoy your trip

Cheers

Try Cafe T'Nes, just off Dam Square. They have small comps on Sun & Thurs from around 7pm. Only one table, so can be a wait to get a game.

Rico lives in London so he will not be in Amsterdam...but there are a whole bunch of other good players there ready for some small action....
Might want to contact Alex Lely...I think he is here as well under name Plague or PlaguefromHague.
There are weekly tournaments in Amsterdam for about 5 nights of the week that vary in skill-level from beginners to open-ended.

Since dutch mostly speak good english as well, you can perhaps post on the poolkrant.nl website that has a forum as well...

cheers,
kimmo
