Dynasphere Bronze....

The d'shpere balls use same phenolic resin as the cyclop balls. made in same factory with same equipment.
Interesting. Just got a set of Bronze for playing clean 1p at local poolhall, haven’t had enough time with them to notice any real differences - other than so far they look & play amazing to me, but this is just comparing them to the ancient beat up ones that are provided at that place.

I just talked to the mgr. at MainSt and they said they've had zero issues with any of the D'sphere balls even when using phenolic/g10 tips. A friend that plays there told me same thing. Why yours are doing that is beyond me. Its not from balls colliding and normally any cb damage from superhard tips is a little circular flaw in the finish. Never seen marks likes these unless caused by protruding screws/tacks/nails. Are your pockets nailed/tacked in place?
If memory serves me right, Main St has several of the very nice Diamond ball polishers and they buff each set after every single customer session. Maybe such high quality conditions mask any small differences that the other guy is noticing. Just a thought…

Did you look at his pics? Looks to me like they hit tacks/nails. Ball-ball contact won't cause that and i've never seen g10 tip damage like that either. Pic of g10 damage: https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/damage-to-cue-ball.410717/

No, sorry missed that. Yeah, for sure hard to imagine that type of damage coming from anything other than some pretty harsh external abuse of some sort that goes beyond normal play conditions. Odd… I think I’d be looking into something amiss in the pockets or ball returns also

I have 2 sets... Tungsten and Palladium. Both are absolutely amazing. I am up to 20 total sets now and have experience with sets across many manufacturers and decades. I can certainly not speak to the company as a whole, but the two sets I have are among the best I have ever seen regarding finish. These take chalk less than any other cue ball I have ever used.

One chink in their armor is that my Palladium set, which fascinatingly has 16 balls with the EXACT same perfect weight in grams, has a 12 ball that appears to be from a different batch. It is slightly less white than the rest of the set and this is most clearly visible when it sits beside on of the cue balls.

I think you are missing part of what I am saying, I have several sets of balls use at home and at the pool hall, the only cueballs that show marks more and chalk sticking to them are the Dynasphere ones. It's not from the tables since then all the balls would look the same, they are all used in the same environment. I'll be at the poolhall tonight for a bit and will clean things off and take more notes on how the cueball looks after a few games. I have access to about 5 different break cues with different tips also so will play around with that as well. I don't think I'll be doing a full Dr Dave type video though, I'll be there like at 8 on a Friday so unless you all want to hear a bunch of drunk people I'll be just taking pictures of the balls after every rack and compare them as I go through the night.

You need to send pics and talk to Bill Dunne(billd@champbilliards.com) at ChampionshipBilliards. I've talked to him about this and he said they've seen nothing along these lines yet. Same goes for MainSt who has like 30 sets in play with zero issues. I don't really pay much attention to chalk on cb's. I clean it off every few games so its not an issue to me. These marks in your pics do not look like any tip-related marks i've ever seen. No clue. Done here...............................
