Dynasphere Gold

Can someone help give me any insight they might have on the Dynasphere gold set. I couldn’t find a lot of info on this set but I found a retailer that has one on sale for 255. Is that a good deal?

If you don't mind the look (I actually love the look, but to each his own;)), here is the seller I got the Tungsten set from a couple months ago for $100. This is my second set, I keep one in my car. The first set I got about 3 years ago for $67 shipped, but they have gone up in price since. The balls are excellent regardless of the price, and by far the best bang for the buck. I think they are just as good as the Aramith Tournament set. The tolerances are spot on, they are shiny as a diamond, and they stay clean an incredibly long time. Unlike the Aramith sets, all of the Dynasphere sets, from cheapest to most expensive, are made of the same material and have the same finish. Only the aesthetic design is different.

Cue club in Vegas uses the Platinum balls. I love the design, but the colors are horrible. I can't tell you how many times I played position or shot the wrong ball practicing rotation.

IMO their best set was the Bronze which has been replaced by the Vanadiums. Standard, classic colors. The Van's are around 250ish.

The entire Dynaspheres lineup are made from the same high quality phenolic resin. The difference in the pricing has to do with the intricacies of the design. I'd say $255 for the Gold set is a fair price, maybe a little on the high side. If you like them, snathch them up! They play every bit as good or better than anything Aramith offers and they will stay cleaner longer.

Even the Duramith balls? I'm asking because i've heard that the D'mith balls stay cleaner than anything.

Welcome to my world. I’m colorblind and go by the numbers on trouble balls. The worst set I’ve ever played is the new Predator set, because they only have the numbers on one side. Opponents will find me with my head to the table trying to see the number that landed just right on the bed. Ha ha.

I dont know how anyone can play with anything but an Aramith or Centennial set of pool balls, classic colors and classic design. Anything else and I don't think I'm playing pool; just playing some kind of a kid's game. The price difference when spread out over the life of the balls is insignificant.

JMHO

I'm a Centennial/classic color fan myself. The 'they stay cleaner longer' has never been a issue with me. If they get dirty, clean them. I'd rather play with Cent's than any skittle Cyclop set ever made, couldn't care less how much cleaner they're supposed to be.

Not sure if the silver and gold are the same resign (they sure look to have a different luster and color tones) as the bronze (now vanadium) and their current cue balls being sold. With that said, if you spend over $200 at the Kozoom store in France, you get free shipping and their tax free price. You are almost at that limit for these:

I like the traditional colors better so I ended up with a bronze set and did a bulk sale here with their rhodium cue balls and I kept 2, with one in use with my bronze playing set. Makes a great looking and playing set for a great price.

Remind me if we ever play I must bring a Raschig 9-Ball Turniersatz.

I like the look of centennial balls but for some reason the 4 and 6 balls, and to a lessor extent the 2 and 7, always seem to be smaller than the rest of them. I’ve got a used set I’ll sell you🤣 I’ve measured them in rooms all across the country. Yes I know some of the sets are old. Don’t get me started on the measle balls are heavier and the red circle balls draw better.

I love the dynaspheres. Yes the colors are different but they play super good. And a hundred bucks or less.

Old rocks. They aren't that way when new. I have same issue at Magoo's. most of the balls were bought when Clinton was president.

I have a set of Centennials and 2 sets of Aramith Tournaments, standard colors, 1 set still unopened. I also bought a set of skittles Cyclops, they were only $200 and I wanted to practice with the weird colors for tournaments that were using them.
