Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum....been reading ofr a long time though. My question is this: Has anyone heard of DZ cues (Dzuricky Cues). Any experience with them? Anyone own one, etc? How they compare to other custom cues? Any comments would be most appreciated! thanks!

Bob Dzuricky is making me a cue as we speak. I've heard wonderful things about his work from both a players and a cue makers point of view. He was very friendly on the phone and emails, is easy to work with as far as the design of your cue goes and came very highly recommended. He has been sending me photos of my cue in the process. Email me if you'd like to see what it looks like so far.

Hi Zim,
Let me guess...are you getting tiger maple with black ebony points? I'm aware of your predilection for that kind of combination! Would love it if you posted some pics! Thanks!

I'll post some pics for all to see tomorrow. (they are on my work pc)

ohh, ozmanix- there's no ebony points, they're inlays! haha!!

my DZ cue...

The following few photos are of my Bob Dzuricky (DZ cues) Custom Cue that is in the works as we speak. The cue has an ebony butt cap, bubinga ring, curly maple butt sleeve, bubinga handle, curly maple forearm, with an ebony joint collar. The inlays will are ebony with truquoise islands, comes with 2 shafts with a 3/8-10 pin. This will be finished by December! WOO HOO!! CAN'T WAIT!!

Enjoy the photos...

My third DZ should be arriving any day. The first two hit a ton and were gorgeous, and I expect the new one will be just as nice. I'm sure you'll be happy with yours.

There will be matching inlays at the ring where the handle and forearm join. I think it will look better once it's completely finished and you can see the entire cue.

I live in the same town as Bob. I own and play with a DZ cue. Also I just ordered a custom cue from him last Thursday. He is a machinist of the highest magnitude and one knowledeable, meticulous human being.A very nice guy also.I've owned several other cues that I acquired over time( old Adams,Pechauer,Dufferin,Heubler,Espiritu,Schon,Joss and a couple Prathers. All fine cues but none hit with the feel of a Dzuricky and as I said the workmanship is unparalled.I would reccommend one to anyone. P.S> To Zimmer Bob unwrapped your cue while I was there it's a little fancy for my taste but a real collector's piece that will play better than any cue you've ever owned. THANK YOU for your service to our country.

BillyJungle- That really sucks that someone I don't even know got to see my cue before I did!! haha!! Just kidding man! Thanks for the compliment on the cue. I've heard great things about Bob's detailed work as a machinist and am very excited to see the final product. Each photo he sends looks better and better (that's what's supposed to happen, right?) and I'm simply amazed at how blocks of wood can be turned into creations of art. I too hope to someday be able to make a fine looking/playing cue.
Thanks,
Zim

Hi guys,
Great pics Zim...actually, I just received my DZ custom cue a few weeks ago...just wanted to see what others thought. It's not as fancy as Zim's..but I like it....simple, elegant and astounding workmanship...hit's like a dream. You will not be disappointed! I will attach some pics for your viewing pleasure...
