(Unless he really quit a match.)

I did not hear about Strickland quitting a match and would like the details. I just find that hard to believe and don't like that behavior at all.

Hi Billyards,
Gosh it had to be about 9- 10 years ago now, The PBT was still around, and there was a PBT event (Cant remember which one, Masters maybe). Anyway Earl was playing Corey Deuel and during late in the match, with the ESPN cameras rolling, Earl started complaining about the rack. He complained everytime the balls were re-racked and finally unscrewed stating he quit.
This was pretty much the end of ESPN and PBT's relationship. Three years ago there was a clip of this internet on the internet somewhere (sorry cant remember where).
After that incident I lost the respect I had for Earl. I personally feel that incident had a huge impact on Mens Pool and TV.

I agree that earl is extreme. In fact he can be a jerk. I was embarrased for what he did in the skins game it reminded me of a guy at my poolroom. Must win at all cost. I am able to look past his shanigans and admire the way he plays the game. Its like he was built to play this game its too bad that he will go down as one of the greatest players ever but will be remember for his unsportsmanlike conduct. Its like they say you dig your own grave I guess.

thanks for the replies all
