All this talk about Buddy in his prime (not a new revalation) has got me thinking. What is the earliest videos of Buddy? As an avid video collector I be interested in knowing of/sourcing other earlier stuff.

There earliest I know of is the 84 Ceasars and then it jumps to 1987 with the Peter Vitale Invite match.

And then other than the Sands and Brunswick worlds, Is there anything else from 1988?

whats out there?

I am not sure exactly what year the Memphis Open was 87,88,89 but that was Buddy Hall at his Best. Slow Death. I bought those Videos and his book. I have been playing pool ever since. LOL... The Rifleman shot my eye out

The Rifleman . . .

I got to see him play live a number of times . . . he was a wrecking ball! If he wanted to beat you, there was no mercy . . . at some point in the 80's I heard that playing him 9 ball on a bar table was pointless . . . he ruled - period.

I've got a few of his videos and the instructional tapes - really good stuff. The boy from Metropolis could play!

Thanks, That video is actually from 1988 and it is the Brunswick World.

Thanks for pointing out, I have edited the title accordingly.

Are they using a different version of centennial balls?
It looks like the cheap balls from memory (I haven't seen those in a long time here)

BTW, for people who will be watching, remember to draw layouts and discuss them. Make it an active learning experience. :)
