Easiest Final Match...

I run a weekly double elim, single game 8-ball tourney at my favorite little dive bar. Last night we had 15 players, and about half the field had a good chance of getting to the final match. I felt like I was riding the luck train all night. I was shooting well, but not as good as I am capable of, and the balls were rolling my way all night. I made it to the point, and in the final match my opponent snapped the 8 on the break in the first game. The second game he broke, ran, and banked the 8 in the wrong pocket securing the win for me. Never have won without even shooting.

Just thought I'd share, anyone have any similar or otherwise interesting stories?
 
Some of my best or biggest wins have been because of good luck. Very seldom if any are you going to find that in a small tourn. or large tourn. that the winner did not get lucky or a GOOD ROLL when he needed it but always remember that good players will take those rolls or luck and do something with it. GOOD LUCK
 
My easiest win was in a handicapped tournament I was on the winners half waiting on the winner of the losers bracket. Turned out my girlfriend beat everyone and it was her and I in the finals. The tournament director just gave us the envelopes of money and said it doesnt matter. good job.

So we didnt even play. Probably my most memorable tournament too because I was so proud of her :D
