Buck,

What's the info on the buyer? How's his feedback rating? Did you take a look at the previous auctions he won?

Shipping to Singapore, depending on the circumstances, can run you upwards of 40-60 bucks.

You DO have a leg to stand on, if you decide not to send it to him. Since your auction states that you ship only within the U.S. ....but, like anything else, it'll have to be a gut feeling on your part, whether or not you think his record is worthy of some trust.

Best of luck, sir.

Hi, Buck15. I'm a buyer from Singapore also. i have buy a few cue on e-bay where the item is located at US, I alway tell the buyer that he only ship the cue out once the paypal amount have been clear. or you can request a money order or bank tranfer from him. I have cue ship thru USPS from USA to Singapore before, It cost around $30 to $35 USD for one cue. Shipping thru Fed X will cost around $70 to $90 USD. Someone here from AZ have ship me something before also:D

I have shipped to the FAR EAST before buy the Post Office. I used a Exprees Mail that took about 9 Days, it was not Overnite, but a Slower Express Mail. go to www.usps.com, and check the services. It cost me about 40 Bucks for a Six pound Package, Insured for 700 BUCKS...

As Far as Pay Pal, I do not do Pay PAL, ask for the money to be Wire Transfered to your Bank Account...

ebay

all his feedback is good.member about a year.location of other sellers is all over asia.i guess i could send it once pay pal gives ok.i will put shipping at 60 bucks cause i am not gonnaloose on this deal.

just be careful, cause if his paypal isnt a verified account then you have no protection. If he uses a stolen credit card or stolen account to use through paypal then the person that owns the account or credit card can do a reversal of fee's and you will be out how ever much the cue is and a cue as well if you have already shipped it out. But if its a verified account and has a verified address ship ONLY to the address listed on the paypal account and therefore you are covered against all chargebacks.

ebay

i just sent an invoice and told him in an e mail that i would only ship to a verified adress and acount.i would only ship after pay pal gave me the ok.i hope that will be enough.

just make sure that when you recieve the money in your pay pal account that you check to make sure its a verified account and address, and that way you are covered in case there is a chargeback. I had someone try to pull that over on me, guy from japan wanted me to ship the cues to japan, but he had stolen someone's account that was in the same state as me(kentucky). It was almost 4,000 worth of cues he was ordering, and had I not been smart and checked to see that it wasnt a verified address and shipped the cues then i would have been out 4,000 once the chargeback came cause it wasnt a verified pay pal account. So i just trying to help you out if i can hope that information helps you.

Thanks, Mark

yes.. also be aware that there is a extra fee on recieving paypal from out of the country , a "over the border fee" as they call its.. its usually about 5 to 10 dollars more depending how much money you are recieving.. i shipped a few item to singapore.. usually about $35 bux for the 4 to 10 day delievery.. make sure you insure it and tell them you will only decare the exact value nothing less.. if his feedback is good.. i wouldnt worry too much.. but once the money hits your paypal account, make sure you withdraw it as soon as you can.. not every body out there is a scam artist.. but its better to be safe then sorry..

There is a currency exchange fee, that might be what you're talking about, but I wouldn't doubt that there is a fee for both :/. The fee is for paypal converting the money from asian to USD. There are so many scams I never sell outside us and there is a quick process you can do to relist the item for free since the user did not follow the "contract"/listing, paypal credits you the money and you can relist. I had to do this over a laptop :/

ebay

i sent him an invoice like i stated in the earlier thread, but have not heard back.before as soon as the auction ended i e mailed him and he responded.now i hear nothing.i probably should just end the whole deal.i do thank you all for the input.

P M him

He is RAMPAGE if he took the time to tell you that he is on the up and up. I had a like experiencr but the AZer didn't identify himself until I had second chance offered and sold if he let me know out of the box he would have gotten the cue!
Nick

Best method is to use wire-transfer(seller won't lose on this). And shipped item with tracking number(you can always check if he did received the item) and make sure it is insured.

Dont use paypal

I dont think Paypal will protect you out of US as a seller. The buyer could do a chargeback months later. I dont believe that countrys out of US have verified addresses.

I did not bid for the cue that Buck15 is selling. Is not me.:p
But my advise to you ( Buck15 ) Don't ship the cue untill you got the cash in your hand unless some bros here can verifly that this guy is striaght.:)

very simple..just tell this person in singspore that you ad clearly stated no international shipping and there fore you cannot accept his bids. then send a note to the 2nd highest bidder and see if they still want it....thats what i would do under these circumstances. and you are then legally off the hook to this guy. as long as you said no international shipping.......mike

but on a side note i have bought a couple of cheap cues from over there with no problems....mike

Just ask him to wire transfer the fund directly to your banking account.
There is no risk and it takes only a few days.
Don't take the int'l bank check because it takes forever to clear.

I agree. Get the money by bank transfer then it's yours forever. Kevin Varney shipped two cues to me in Shanghai using USPS Global Express service. Took five days and cost $35 with tracking. Was good service.

i was the buyer for Nick's cue but sad to say i didn't identify myself to him..i only asked if he would ship to my area..if not i would be enjoying that wonderful cue now :(
Buck u could wait for payment to be cleared 1st then send the cue over..anyway even if u're shipping to US i believe u still would wait for payment 1st right?no worries mate..
