I am not polishing the balls with a magic eraser / denatured alcohol. I am simply using it for removing the stubborn spots or miscue scratches that are very hard to get off, mainly on the cue ball. The ball polishing process is still a necessary procedure after the magic eraser.

Certainly the magic eraser removed spots easily. Frankly I was amazed that the Aramith ball cleaner did too ... especially the cue ball as you say. I would buff the balls in a towel after the eraser, but they would not shine like new. Perhaps I was doing it wrong. With the Aramith I clean the balls to the same degree in about the same time with the same effort. Then, when I buff the balls like before, they do shine line new. This is just my personal experience.
