I just visited the ebay cues section and I saw a picture of a naked girl along with an auction title of "My sis good sprt" and when you click it it wants your ebay ID and PW. I was already logged into ebay so this had to be a scam to capture Ebay ID's and PW's. BEWARE of this listing. The naked girl grabs your attention and if you aren't thinking whoever put it on ebay will have your ID and PW.

I have gotten 3 emails the last 2 days with a similar scam.
The email would look like a question from a buyer via eBays system, however when you click the "respond now" button it would ask for user ID and password..
Luckily I didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday and knew what was going on, as I was already logged in.
Everyone should be on the look out for these scams, as 2 of the emails I received was from actual members who's account had to been hijacked.

Ill fix up a couple screen shots of the emails....:)

 I am getting them everyday 2 or 3. Often times repeats. Ebay needs to do something about HiJacked Accounts.

There's a nice article in the NY Times about these "key logger" scam artists.

I agree though, something needs to be done with these guys, but the sad reality is nothing ever will. Remove 1 or 2 and 4 more of these low life little pr1cks will pop out of cyberspace to take their place.

I am practically on the computer 24 hours and day, and its to the point I run my virus scan nightly to try to make me feel at least some what safe.:(

On the security front there is a program that weeds out these fake emails and tells you which is safe and which is a possible scammer "phishing" for your account information. It is called Iconix and it is a free download that is compatible with almost every email provider (sorry AOL users, you are SOL:D ). You can read more about it from here:
http://www.iconix.com/?source=ppl&gclid=CN7HkYens4YCFQEbVAoduT--TQ
It wont save you from web sites that hijack through your browser. but it can help you filter out these fake emails.

At any rate, all of us that do business online needs to keep one eye open and be suspicious of everybody.

HiJacked eBay accounts

eBay does do something. At least for me. My e account suddenly would not work. It took me about 2 weeks mailing back and forth with e, and I finally found out that my account had been hijacked and e discovered this and put a freeze on the account, not allowing sales or buys. When I found the right person to speak with, they informed me that someone hijacked my account and was selling a Volvo convertible for big $$ using my account. If e had not caught it, the buyer would have paid and guess who they would have blamed for not shipping the car. Thank goodness e discovered the hijacking and froze my account. To get my account back in working condition, they required me not only to change my e password, but also my AOL passwords. Now I'm back in business. Wow, close call. Thanx eBay. :)

2 weeks is unacceptable, for me anyways, many others as well. Too much can happen in 14 days. Buyers could back out/reverse payments, sellers could re-list items etc. Not to mention Negative feedback from being unable to respond and explain the situation.:(

I got an e mail this morning about an air tank regulator that I supposedly had in my watched items... I didn't!! E mail heading said ebay watch item relisted. Properties showed it had mention of the air regulator... so I just deleted it without opening ... It appers that Ebay is bringing out all the scum of the earth
