Ebay southwest?

Not only is it a fake, but it's a horrible one at that. Looks like a 100 dollar cue to me. Anyone who has ever seen a SW, will know that cue is definitely not a SW.

by the way i sent the guy that has that posted a message and told him he was falsely listing the cue as it wasnt a southwest....maybe he will change it or maybe not.......i dont think he knows any different and was only going on what he was told.....and you are right the cue pictured is a cue made overseas and retails for about 180.00.....good looking out though......juston coleman

Check out this "southwest" on Ebay. Do you think it is a fake?

The pin isn't a southwest pin for 1. It is entirely different, and would have a cactus and a number if it was a modern day southwest.

Second. The buttcap is too rounded. If it were a real one, the edge on the buttcap would be more square.

I'd bet that this is one of those NEW OMEGA cues. Not the ORIGINAL OMEGA with the flared edge on the butt, but a new production line of cues bearing the same name.
Here..have a look.

If he were going to fake it...he'd have been better of trying to sell one of those J+J cues. They at least have the right pin...if you can find some way to get the J+J logo off.

lucasi cues also has a few models that look like wouthwests, they use the same pim as pictured. i almost bet that is one of the lucasi cues. they also don't have their name on there cues. i uswed to carry them in my store. sold pretty good to, but had to many problems with them.

The pin

The first thing I want to see is "THE PIN"....
I have two old Southwests and I still would like to see the pin..with or without the cactus!

This is the only LUCASI i found that resembles it.
PIN is the right type of pin...wrong material.
Needs to be BRASS colored.

Plus...the rings are not right.

ANd...LUCASI is plastered on it. But i'm sure there are other models that don't have the name i haven't seen.

Fake

I wonder if the poor S.O.B. at the pawnshop (note the jewelry case) gave someone Southwest price. Probably showed him some pix from a legitimate site and got 2 grand for the cheapie. Pretty good return on his investment! :)

I sent an email to the seller and to ebay. The seller canceled the auction, but the bidding was up to 898.00!

Now I wonder if the seller will contact the high bidder for a side deal?

I sent the seller an Email as soon as I seen the post. I informed him that I have never seen a SW with a radial pin. They use the 3/8 11. I also said that I have never seen SW cue with reverse points.

I like the part were the seller says that if you have any questions his billiard specialist will be glad to assist you. I think I would fire that guy. In fact I would like to know where the shop is. Could you imagine what you could pass off. LOL

I have not received a reply.

I see that bidding has ended because of a listing error and also the bid was at $898 and reserve was not met.????

I cannot believe anyone would bid on this.

I had checked all the available feedbacks that i could to see what type of items he was used to selling, and NONE of the ones i looked at were pool related.

for all we know...the guy might have very well thought it was a souythwest.....BOUGHT it for good money. LOL...and then found out it WASN'T one.

Then again...he could have just been trying to rip someone off.

You've got to wonder how may people have HEARD of a southwest...but never seen one.

To me that fact that he was selling it isn't nearly as bad as the fact that there were people actually willing to buy it. If I am gonna spend a grand on ANYTHING, I want some proof that I am getting what I am paying for. If they were buying it for the uniquness of the reverse points, the pin configuration is almost written in stone when it comes to a SW, before, during and after Franklin.
