This is a Gaboon Ebony on Gaboon Ebony John Davis fullsplice cue, I sent John this 15-20 year old jet black ebony for him to make a fullsplice blank out of it. He did an excellent job. Greg Kucharski made the blank into a cue. The cue is brand new, it has 2 13 mm brand new shafts. 3/8 11 brass sw pin, butt weight is 17.4 ounces, shafts are both 3.6 ounces, total weight is 21 ounces. The butt has not been cored, only a small section of ebony has been taken out of the very back of the butt with a diameter similar to that of a weight bolt. Any experienced cue maker could core the butt if someone wanted to lighten it. The cue hits incredibly solid. The cue is straight as an arrow. Finding ebony this dark in pieces large enough to make a fullsplice cue is really hard these days. SOLD!!!
