Ed Prewitt contact information?

From what I’ve researched, Florida is legal for intrastate transactions. Interstate and International sales of ivory
are not allowed. So while in Florida, pool cues you buy, sell or trade that contain ivory are legal & you can keep.
Travel with cues interstate is 100% legal. Your pool cues cannot be legally confiscated because they contain ivory.
Hi,

Thanks, for the great info.

Ed Prewitt stopped taking orders last year as he is over 5 years out. As one of his longtime dealers I usually receive a cue or two a year now. My main player is a Brazilian Rosewood Hoppe style Prewitt cue that I have had for about 12 years. I have not owned a better playing cue. I recently started playing with my ebony on ebony Cohen cue as it is a touch heavier.
So, I guess going to the well is out. I will need to go down stream for water.

+1 on Bob Owen. Bava actually was one of the people who referred me to him, Bob just emailed the draw up on my cue last week. That guy is awesome to work with. Just laid back and easy going. Answers the phone and all my questions. Took my design to the next level with a few adjustments and his own personal touch on it. I check that drawing out at least once a day. 😉maybe another 300 or so looks before I see it, but.👍
The thrill that comes with having a cue made by Bob is a unique experience. The man ‘s word is as reliable as tomorrow’s sunrise. His demeanor is more than just being friendly. He wants to be helpful in making your dreams come to life in any design you have in mind. He is always accessible and keeps you apprised of when production begins starting with the raw wood he selects through the various milling steps, veneers and inlays and great progress photos throughout the build. He delivers on time and his workmanship was already outstanding when I did business with him years ago and he has only gotten better with time. The greatest compliment you can pay any cue maker is to do repeat business. As soon as I received my cue from Bob Owen, and the same thing with Jerry Rauenzahn, the workmanship was so tremendous and the cues played so great I ordered another cue from both cue makers right away. Jerry has since retired but Bob is very active & become very popular. If I was ordering another cue, he’s the cue maker that I’d want to build it.

I do not have a Cohen cue. But I have two Owen cues. The second cue turned out glorious whereas the first one is my Frankenstein. But make no mistake in thinking Bob had anything to do with it. I provided him with a detailed drawing that looked like a architect came up with the design. It even included photos of a Richard Black. Alamo cue forearm that had a stain I wanted to emulate. Bob probably thought he was dealing with a maniac after reviewing the packet of information I sent him. And he built that cue exactly as I described it much to my own ultimate dismay. There was so much design I wanted, way too much, that I screwed it up. Several things are not right and it could have been a gorgeous design but alas, it is what it is. However, it plays so friggin’ great, I don’t care. I just don’t look at it. But the second cue Bob made, now that’s turned out to be a Stradivarius. And it’s really hard not to look at it and lovingly too. Both designs are my creations so essentially I’m batting .500 in the looks department but .1000 in pool cue playability. Bob is a gifted cue maker & his reliability is incredible.

Hi,

I spoke with Eddie about 1 year ago regarding a box cue. He is local. I may relook into it.

Some of the more well known Guys are very hard to contact to place an order.
I loved my cohen. I made deal with a friend and he got it off me. Curly maple, ebony and copper inlays. Matching jps. It was a very pretty cue. Pictures dont do it justice. It was definitely unique and a great player. I dont think you can go wrong with a cohen. Originally got it from someone on azb in 2018 i think.

Here’s a photo of my Ed Prewitt cue and one of my Bob Owen and Jerry Rauenzahn cues.
The workmanship on these cues is just over the top splendid. And the balance and feel of
these cues play has to be personally experienced as written descriptions don’t do justice.

The middle cue is my 2nd Owen cue design just like the Jerry R. cue was my 2nd design.
If you missed getting a Rauenzahn cue, search the secondary market. He was a real master.
And Ed’s cues, well, he makes a cue that feels like a one piece cue. It hits solid but not heavy.

Those three Cues rock, but I would be afraid to take out of house to play Pool with.
