Ed Young Cues

Purchased a few Ed Young cues over the years for my collection. Ed Young cues were built in Chicago in the shop where Ed and Dave Paul Kersenbrock aka DPK worked out of. Those of you who are familiar with Ed Young cues, knows the history of DPK. They are really great players with the balance, feedback, and a hit that makes this distinctive pinging sound when striking the cue ball. These cues are mostly known in the local pool halls of Chicago. These cues are becoming more and more rare to come across. Ed had announced that DPK had past away in the early part of 2024.

Do you have any sharp pictures of the return points? That is where John Davis cues that I've seen tend to suffer.

Thankfully I didn't see any flaws with the points on this cue. The points are aligned close to the same height. I have looked at a few John Davis blanks at a friend's shop owned by Joe Gold where I recall seeing one blank where the points at the bottom " I believe you call it the return points" having a small gap where John Davis bonded the blank together to make the full splice. I inspected this cue thoroughly before I made the decision to purchase it. I have made contact with Ed Young after posting, he confirmed only made one from a John Davis blank.
