Here are a few pics of my new player. Getting the purplehearts best color is difficult in the sunlight but it did show decent. Cue is much better looking in person. Currently in Young/DPK shop getting new 4oz plus shafts and being tweeked. I would love to see more Ed Young pics on this thread. Thanks, Deacon.

Gorgeous!!!

That "simple" cue is absolutely stunning, I've never seen purpleheart that dark or that curly. I bet it hits as good or better than it looks too!

Thank you. The hit is amazing especially with the Kersenbrock dimensions on both the butt and shafts. When I met up with Ed last week, he told me that the curly purpleheart he had had been sitting, curing for about 10 years and that he only had a few pieces and wished he had another like this for his fancier cues. I was glad to hear that. Deacon

I'll tell you what the birdseye is fantastic in person. I saw last week and these pics don't do it justice. Hope to see ya soon.
Jeff

Thanks Jeff, and that bloodwood skip weston of yours is truly something to behold as well. That cue really hits and looks great. Deacon

Deacon,
Wasn't that the same cue I saw up here maybe a year or 2 ago? I could swear you had sold it too... I only ask because I'm too lazy to search through 10 search pages. I hope you like it. If you're ever up on the north side drop me a line.

one on the way

58" cue

6 point (3high/3low) extra fancy curly maple points
3 high re-spliced amboyna burl points into the 3 high curly maple points .

050x.050 silver A-ring

extra fancy curly maple handle .

050x.050 silver B-ring

ebony butt with 6 amboyna burl windows framed with extra fancy curly maple

6 hand cut ivory diamonds in 6 amboyna burl windows .

050x.050 silver butt-ring short white butt-cap

1 set custom engraved black joint protectors

I had sold another which was a prototype which ed and Kersenbrock had changed their compound taper in butt and the taper in the shafts. The purpleheart was from the same stock but different cues and that one had a linen wrap. It was a very nice looking cue but stiffer than anything I had hit with. Deacon
