I was telling a friend of mine about Eddie Taylor making 37 banks in a row playing full rack banks he doesn't believe it is there anyone that can actually verify that he done it I believe he did but is there any prove that he did

Brian Gregg made I think it was 31 in a row at DCC on the TV table practicing.

@jay helfert told me that Eddie Taylor banked his object ball over the corner of another ball, and into the pocket. In other words, he caused his object ball to bank/jump.
He (Jay) also stated that Taylor once took all the balls out of the pockets, tossed them on the table, and then proceeded to bank the entire pack.
😎👍

Skip bank, hard to master, but fun to shoot and watch when someone can make them.

Still love saying - cross side, flying.

People have no idea what your talking about until they see the OB go over another ball lol

See my post/thread about who's the greatest players of all time.
I worked for the BCA when it moved to Colorado Springs from IA.
I was a BCA employee. Eddie was at the trade show.
Eddie & I talked about this he told me he did.
I thought it was 4 racks of nine ball banks but Helfert corrected me saying he did it with full racks, which seem even more difficult because of congestion.
But he did 37 in a row.
He also mention another player that was Great at this game, but the name never was in our conversation.

I can vouch for Eddie. I remember it like it was yesterday because I'd never seen anything like it and knew I probably never would again. I even recorded it on my trusty and brand new (at the time) Beta-Max camcorder. Unfortunately that tape was lost when I got arrested and sent to prison for perjury.

Find it hard to believe there wasn't a single ball in a spot it couldn't be banked in 3 racks, like in the jaws of a pocket. I'm not buying it. Hell, there's usually at least a ball in the pocket in every rack of short rack

On his early 60s exhibition tours, he would typically still beat most all-comers at straight pool by his banking of every shot.

True, be he banked a ball, & kicked that ball in the jaws in.... then when the table was cleared, all pocketed balls repotted.
Is That hard to believe?

Extremely hard to believe. I grew up playing full rack banks.

I'm not saying he's a liar, I'm saying he could have won every dime I've ever made. So yeah, BS story.

There's so much congestion with full rack it's not even the same game as short rack.

It's not uncommon to break and have NO shot, let alone 15 after the break
