Effect of table height on break shot

I have got a pretty decent break at 25-26 mph, but when I played on a table that was about 2 inches lower than the usual tables that I am used to, my break, for lack of a better word, sucked, no power, scratching and not hitting the 1 ball where I wanted. Guessing I wont be playing there again, but I am curious what went wrong here?

Something about your break technique is sensitive to a different table height. Take a video of yourself breaking on both different table types and try to see what is different.

I'm glad you brought that up. If you stand exactly the same way on tables that vary in height, your balance at the table will change. When I used to play competitively, I would take note of the table height and adjust my stance accordingly --- for me it was either sitting back a little more on my heels if the table was lower or standing a little farther back, or widening my stance a bit, or standing a bit more upright or closer or narrower if it was higher.

You have to practice making stance adjustments that work for you for different heights that will keep your stroke consistent with what you're used to. Everyone is a little different in how they make their adjustments, but if you don't make your adjustments with intent, you may wind up doing things like lean forward too much or backward too much, or stroke upwards or downwards at the cue ball.

This is why I could never understand players who play in different height shoes. Stick to one height when you can, but if you can't --- like with different height tables, make sure you have practiced your adjustments and know what to do.
