Authenticated collectible cards are one way to create a "preserved" historical record of art work.

Usually the cheap cards are printed, then autographed. Some autographed cards are documented in authenticated databases.

I submitted a portrait to get signed by a celebrity. Then I had it authenticated so I can prove it is real. I hope the company doesn't go out of business, it is the only historical evidence my portrait existed and was signed.

Pool needs an official authentication company.
