Efren's Famous Kick Shot

What a shot. Can something like that be learned? or taught?
I know that various kicking systems exist. I just dont know them.

Is a shot like this something that can be figured out by a system? or is it more likely genius at work with the b*lls to shoot it at that stage of the match?

While were on the subject of Efren, does anyone know his background in billiards, or what kind he played? I have heard tons of great "pool" stories about Efren, but never Efren gambling at, or being seen practicing Billiards?...

There's an Accu-Stats tape where Efren and Jerry McWhorter are the commentators. Jerry McWhorter asks Efren what he thinks his best game is and he replies with "Balkline, not nine ball, not one pocket, not rotation - balkline". I watched Efren play billiards with the cue ball and two object balls on a regular 4 1/2' x 9' pool table and nurse the balls in the corner (with the corner pocket there) for something like 20+ points. If he lost position he'd somehow "herd" the balls to the other corner and nurse the balls there for another 30 points. Never seen anything like it.
