Anyone ever seen Efren make a spot shot from behind the line, make the object ball in the corner pocket, and stop the CB dead where the object ball was? I saw him do it 2 times in a row a few years back, it's unreal.

Yeah- If you watch closely, he puts jack sauce on the ball. It's a kinda trick shot of sorts...

I think efren's most famous shot is against strickland
on a final on Reno last 1997 in fact time magazine asia
has a re-enactment for it.

This is a feature from time magazine asia with its re-enactment
of the impossible shot.

I saw this back then and when efren made the shot
everybody stood up for about 10mins clapping including
(i dont know if my memory serve right) earl the pearl
in amazement and appreciation. It was truly magical !

Check it out.

I haven't seen that exact shot, but I was watching him warm up at the 2000 (this year may be wrong, but it was the most recent one) 14.1 chamioships in NY and he was casually shooting the same shot you wrote about but at shorter distance--cutting balls in with super throw. At the same tournament he ran 141 against Dallas West--keeping his run going with a cross side bank. crazy

he is awesome

Cool link thanks.

Yes, cool story!

But didn't the kick vs. Strickland come of as a result of Efren pooping in a ball while playing safe on Earl, not 'coz Earl played him safe?

Call me naive, but I thought Larry was the first to make any of those shots? :p

This shot will be featured on his new DVD he is currently filming............. :D

That is exactly right. I've got that shot on tape. Efren shot what looked to be a very good safe, but a ball (the eight?) slopped in, leaving him the same safe. After the shot, even Earl was clapping.
