Can someone tell me part names/numbers for the hardware in a Diamond 8 foot light specifically the four bulb fixture, the bulbs and the ballast.

Our 4x8 Diamond lights each utilize (2) 8 foot, 2 bulb standard light fixtures. The rigid fixtures make up the 'length-wise' structure of the light, with 2 cross supports screwed to them for the side to side support, which have the decorative sides screwed to them. Any rigid, 2 bulb, 8 foot shop lights would work including the low energy ones, which unfortunately, my 10 year old ones don't have. Not sure what you're after exactly, but I can take pics of these if it would help. You can use whatever bulb you wish. We use daylight 6500k in ours. The ballast will depend on which bulb STYLE you use, the bigger older ones, or the newer, smaller ones.

Photo not necessary but thanks for the offer. This is about a 8' coin-op Diamond table and light that was installed in a friends bar in April of 2007. About two years ago there was a fire in the apartment above the table and water from FF weakened the plaster ceiling and the light dropped onto the covered table.

I was able to repair the light by replacing only a single bulb socket, even the bulbs all still worked. There was also damage (bent) to the sheet metal housing for the wiring but it was closable and workable.

Last week the lights went out and because the table is in a separate room, every moron who wanted to shoot pool became Rudy the repairman and began 'investigating'. Not being a hands on type himself, I asked my friend if he wanted me to get the parts needed and fix the light but he said to wait.

It's a light, so naturally it must need a new bulb. I wonder if any of them ever saw two lights bulbs go dead at the exact same time, never mind four. I know it must be the ballast, but could be more by now. I asked one guy what was he going to do if it WAS the light bulbs and if he had four 8' bulbs in his wallet by chance.

Anyway I got the OK to proceed and want to have all the part numbers I need in case it isn't just the ballast any more. One idiot broke off the butterfly knob that locks in the sheet metal cover for the wire housing. I am not sure if that is replaceable or if I can tape it in place, but if not it will have to be left open or the entire fixture will need to be replaced.

The problem just got compounded. When the lights first went out, I ruled out the bulbs immediately because I couldn't see 4 bulbs all dying at once. My next suspect was the ballast and I took a friend's word for it that there would only be one ballast controlling all four bulbs.

Last night I decided to be certain and opened up both two bulb housings to see that each double bulb housing had it's own ballast. Now the question is how could two ballasts die at the same exact time?
