I do alot of bar cues and have used Elk Master tips as they tend not to mis-cue when used by the less skilled players. This keeps them happier and less likely to break the cue after a mis-cue. Recently I have found many of the tips are so soft they just turn to powder when shaping them.
Any ideas on how to check density before affixing a soft tip that will result in having to cut it off, start again and loose time.
Thanks,
Brian
