I'm curious if she has ever been contacted by the WPBA to sponsor them? Ellen is worth close to a half a BILLION dollars. She seems to get along well with everyone on both sides of the fence, so to speak. It might be a lot of fun for her to participate in something like this and it is not likely to ever make a dent in her bank account.

I can see the call now. Hi, you are gay and we have a good number of gay players, would you like to give us some money? Maybe she has her money tied up in the WNBA.
 
There are plenty of billionaires in this country, I bet the majority of them have a pool table at (one of their) homes, but I doubt any of them have more than a casual attraction to the game. What we need is someone with the passion and bankroll to make a good "go" of it.
 
Don't forget to have pool declared an official 501c3 Charity first.
