For the mechy's;
what should the angle be where the end of the rail turns into the inside of the pocket? Another way to put it is what angle should the pocket faces (shims) be in relation to one another? I hope parallel is not the answer...

Thanky!

there is no right or wrong answer to this questions. All tables are different from the factory. Its when the sub-rails are extended is when the angles can be changed. I know what I set mine to, but no everyone has the same idea of whats right and how the pockets play. In my area all the top mechanics will put the k66 cushion on a Gold Crown and make the pocket facing parrellel. I'm often ask to copy this style but I refuse.

Yep, i found this out the hard way!!!
Although i do like the parallel pockets or almost parallel pockets

The angle on my new Diamond Pro is 141 degree on the corner pockets. I was told by Diamond that they are making all their tables to this now. It really plays good.
