English on cut shots

I posted this question I had a few days ago but for some reason I cannot find it when I went back to check for answers so I am sorry if someone has already replied and it somehow got deleted.

I just recently got into playing pool more seriously. I have noticed that when I put English (spin) on the cue ball on a cut shot, the object ball always cuts more than if I took the same shot without English. Is this normal? I've watched every tutorial and help video I can find but nothing discusses this. Am I just shooting wrong or is this a normal occurrence that has to be adjusted for while aiming? Regardless of inside or outside English, it always over cuts the shot. The opposite happens with forward spin, the shot under cuts compared to how it would go if I would have shot without spin. I am wondering if I am shooting wrong maybe not stroking through straight enough while shooting or maybe I hit it some other different wrong way which is creating this effect. If it is just a matter of learning to take this difference in angle into consideration while shooting then I guess I will just have to get use to doing so.

If you shoot a cut shot with no english, the balls make contact and act as cog wheels and create their own spin, known as "contact induced throw" or CIT. CIT is most pronounced at a half-ball hit or ~30 degree cut. If you apply outside english it helps to negate CIT, and inside english will amplify it. Slower speed maximizes CIT, faster speed minimizes it. Dirty balls also amplify CIT. Natural CIT will send the OB forward off the geometric path.
