during the 80's and 90's in WI there used to be a lot of equal offense tourney's. the way they scored it was everybody broke 4 racks. without ball in hand run as many balls as possible. max score per rack 15. any balls made on the break were spotted. total all 4 racks played out of a total of 60. usually 45 on up advanced to the next round so on and so forth. each round moving the min. score up for advancing players through . hope this will help!

Break a rack open.

Run out like 14.1, including setting up a break shot.

Execute break shot. Run five more balls. Rerack.

Miss a shot, rerack, start again.

Scored like 14.1. Try ten times, and take average score.

Or something like that.

Yes, this is right.

I'll add, (after break open rack)

spot any balls made on the break
no penalty for a scratch on the break
start with cueball in the kitchen

So a maximum score is 200 (20 per inning)
