Hiya Chris,

I think it's because the folks on the list (all the way down) pretty much knew where they stood on it...and could plan accordingly (financially speaking). If somebody who KNEW they were in the 4th batch was forced to buy or walk on a cue from the 3rd, then he got the short end of the stick....no pun intended.

Not saying Viperkiller won't want to take his turn now....but he was planning on having the extra time to build funds (or whatever). At least...that's what I gathered from it.

Thanks for the quick selection, Joe. Enjoy the cue.

Next up is Cyrus (cyrustong) then Mike (raildriver). *may be a wait til morning since Cyrus is in Taiwan.

Chrisonline, I hope this clears up your concerns:

After Raildriver selects, we are done with the original list. After that, we will have 2 cues remaining, so to sell them off I thought it would be fair to see who's interest in getting their Ernie early. I felt it would not be fair to make it mandatory for the next person in line to select one of the remaining cues or lose their spot since they were queued up to get the pick of the litter next time, but they may if they want to. If they want one, it's theirs (in order).

All that are interested, please put your request in once we know which cues are remaining and whomever is the highest on the list will get his or her cue early. If more than 2 people want the same cue, the highest on the list gets priority - same as the process for all above. (more on this once the current list is completed)

Remember, because 2 people bowed out, this is an opportunity to get your Ernie early, it is not mandatory. If no takers, we have plenty of folks locally that will be happy to buy them so no hard feelings either way. I just want to be fair to those on the list - that is my/our 1st priority.

Thanks. If you have any questions feel free to PM me or post something here.

Dave

Chris, no apology necessary...my wife doesn't even understand me sometimes & we've been married 21 years. That's a good idea about reposting the 2 remaining cues, but I will keep it in this thread to stay consistant (if that's alright ;)).

Updated list of cues that have been selected: 422, 423, 424, 426, 427, 430 & 431

Yep.....just as much fun to watch 'em get picked up, too!! Seems like there are a ton of us that have the same type of tastes in cues!

I know this is a stretch, Dave....but any clue at all on when the 3rd batch will come up? I'm guessing a couple/few months, give or take a couple/few months!! :) :) :)

You're too funny. As always, you will all know when I know. I have been told that the process in the shop for building these cues have been streamlined a little since they are getting all machinery set up for each step. It took a while for Ernie to convert what was there to his standards & they now has a second lathe, plus the points station is now in place and to Ernie's strick standards so he can do more veneered points as well as the recut ones. So I'm told things will move a little quicker from here.

Of course Ernie's still a cue builder so whatever delivery date is posted, add something to that ;). Just hoping with all the processes in place, the little something will be less  :D.

And by the way, Ernie's having a ball doing this, so thanks to everyone.

Thanks for the intel, Dave....and thanks for making his stuff available to us.

Glad to hear Ernie's doing well....and building up that strong following he had before all the issues.

I'm sure we'll all excited to see/hear about the 3rd batch......seems like each set gets better and better!!

?????

Dave I forgot to ask a few days ago?? Any idea what numbers 432 and 433 are going to look like yet since they took longer or just disappeared??:D I know you have probably gotten some intel or something!

They are gone forever. Those two cues where made for 1) the guy who had been hanging on to Ernie's wood for him (very fair exchange) & 2) a local collector that had ordered his cue & paid in full prior to ernie's last walkabout-w/o returning the money. Ernie's Bus Mgr should not have taken pictures in this batch but did & it screwed up the serial # sequence. Sorry for the confusion.

Back to Business

Mike (Raildriver) you're up & last on the original list.

Updated list of cues that have been selected: 422, 423, 424, 426, 427, 430, 431 & 434.

Available cues: 421, 425 & 428.

Please make your selection ASAP. Thanks.

Can't get through to Paradise Billiards yet for a weight increase on cue#425. Until then sorry for the holdup. Raildriver

I understand, Mike. If you read the very first post, you'll see that you can add up to an ounce in every cue & in some cases, maybe a little more. In fact, just spoke w/Terry & he said he talked with you.

#425 is SOLD! per your PM. Enjoy it.

I will get the deal for the remaing cues going after I return fro the CSU vs BYU basketball game that begins in 45 minutes.

I can't thank all of you enough for making this a pleasant experience and smooth sailing (except for one of you).

Dave
