Howdy Miss Sarah,

In Peoria you were shadowed by ESPN.com the first day as they were doing a feature on athletes who are paid according to their performance (IIRC).

Have they given you any indication of when the feature will be on their website?

Hi Wally,

ESPN.com's Darren Rovell did follow me around for the first couple days of the tournament. From what I hear it will be up around August 20th. There has been a delay because it is a huge story about "athletes" that are paid based on performance. I believe you will also be able to read about a golfer, a bowler, a race car driver, and a bullrider.

I will keep everyone informed. I hope it will be up soon.

Take care,
Sarah

well thats kewl, about the story Sarah, well to bad all people who are PRO's in thier sports arnt paid based on thier performance.

I remember, a Pro bowler by the name of Jason Couch, doing a interview once, and the guy giving the interview said something about bowling under pressure, and he responded with something like this,

most athletes have no clue what its like to play under pressure cuz if they miss a pass, strike out, or dont make a basket to win the game theres always tomorrow. Now for me if i dont strike here or there, i dont make my house payment, or my kids dont eat for the week, now try playing under that pressure and still performing at your best.

I mean when i heard that i was like he is totally right, anyone who doesnt get payed based on performance has no clue what its like to play under pressure.

Dave,

You give a good example. That is about the same thing I had to say. Most athletes are paid no matter how they play. I wish that could be true for pool. It is a pressure that can make you a better player or a worse player. It just depends on what type of person they are.

Take care,
Sarah
