My main television seems to stay tuned to ESPN, the Golf Channel, or any other sports-related broadcast. Most times, I'm not cognizant of what they're talking about as it pertains to sports, but my other half listens to sports shows intently like a stock broker, watching the ticker tape for scores of various sports events.
A couple days ago, before AzBilliards went down temporarily, ESPN was on my TV, and the anchor man was talking about NASCAR and Tony Stewart. Apparently, some media folks thought Tony Stewart would be in Daytona at a NASCAR event, but apparently his absence was noticed. The anchor man stated Tony Stewart was "at a pool tournament," without elaborating further.
Of course, us REGULARs on AzBilliards Discussion Forum already knew Tony Stewart and Shannon Daulton were making the rounds in Louisville, enjoying the DCC. Tony Stewart must be having a good time at the DCC if he didn't make it to Daytona, according to ESPN.
It's interesting how the media grapevine works. It would have been nice if ESPN could have stated "Tony Stewart was attending the Derby City Classic in Louisville, Kentucky," but I guess that would be hoping for too much.
