In the original thread some folks were asking when the taped event was going to air on ESPN. While I don't have the exact info as of yet I do have to general time frames that were mentiomed. First! SVB said it was to be aired in late October. I think this is incorrect for a couple reasons : one is as I mentioned ESPN has historically aired their taped events a few months after taping. Secondly, ( sorry but I forget her name ) a reporter covering the event spoke with officiala from ESPN productions and they were quoted that this event will air in December. I believe this to be more likely than not.

The article in the link above said it was held on September 20 at 3 PM so it should be over. I could not find the results of the event online though. Even the AZB events page does not have the results.

Who selects the participants and how? I know it is an invitational tournament but seeing as any top player can beat another top player on any given day, it is impossible to determine a true champion without round robin play.
 
So did Shaw win? I know some people may want to keep the suspense for when it airs but I don't care- I want to know who won!

I was there for the semis the casino is shutting down in a few weeks. The event was small to begin with. They had most ppl sit behind the players. They will edit to look like a decent crowd.
 
I spoke with the organizer at the event and he said it should be slated to air on a Sunday afternoon in early December, barring any unforeseen bumps.
