McGill shines in home event

http://www.worldsnooker.com/page/NewsArticles/0,,13165~3010280,00.html

Clydebank's own Anthony McGill plays out of The Lucky Break snooker hall in Clydebank.I've never seen him play but my sons have and when I asked them how they rated Anthony McGill thay said he's real good and as good as the snooker players you see on the TV.

The Lucky Break's in house host is John Rea the ex-Scottish snooker pro player who played at the last seniors world event. So young Anthony McGill will be getting John Rea's advice and guidance so at the young age of 21 Anthony McGill might be one to watch out for in the future.I will be rooting for him.:smile::cool:

Anthony McGill . how I followed the progress

Well I would never have thought that my 1st view of the young kid from Clydebank Anthony McGill would be at the Scottish Open Snooker Final 2012 Championships playing Ding Jughui on a HAHA Sports Snooker streamlink but thats how it goes.

I kept in touch with the scores via World Snooker Home link and at 3-1down to Thanawat Tirapongpiaboon ( Cant wait for John Virgo et al To say that name in live commentary.LOL Trust me they will call him TT for short.) TT was 1/19 Fav @ Betfair @ that point in time for the match but Anthony came back for the win.

Anthony comes back to beat Andrew Higginson 4-3 to make the final but I've yet to see him in action and he makes the Final against Ding Junhui.

Anthony McGill 2 v 4 Ding Junghui

For the 1st time I get to see the kid from Clydebank and it in the Final and my sons had said when they watch him down the Lucky Break Snooker Hall he is amazing and plays as good as the rest of the guys you see on TV.so my 02 internet stream is lagging but from what I seen...

Anthony McGills bridge hand grips the baize like a pianist and that was good enough for me to think that this kid is good and can be real good.He had his chances to go 3-2 up but went behind and if he played a good safety shot on that yellow he might have went 3-3 but he tried the pot and missed but unfortunately got on the next red for Ding Junhui to seal the deal for the win.

So Congratulations go to Ding Junhui the Scottish Open Snooker Champion 2012.:)
