I VERY especially wanted to give thumbs up and good luck to my favorit player there. Khodjaeva, Kamila from belgium who will be playing in the girls competition.

Ive been posting about her for some time. She is from 1996, 13y old, and she is one of the brithest female players i have ever seen. winning over 10 consecutive ranking events in a row, beating top male players, and having seen her play since the first time she played pool, she is my #1 favorit player.
She can clear racks, open clusters and is has a stroke to fall in love with.

Not only do i enjoy having her as my teammate, she also is one of the nicest, most respectfull players i know.I hope the best for her, i hope that her FIRST big tournament wont make her shoke, but if she can control her nerves i'm sure this girl has the natural skills to become whatever she wants.

Belgium has always had some greath players and european-world champions (ceulemans, wendy jans, Kurt Deklerck, etc..) to me Kamila is the biggest revelation in Belgium since some time. Ive bwin has a match of her, you can be SURE my money is on her (trust me on this one)

I wish all the players the best of luck and a good time,

I'm sorry i can't be there, as i would love to suport for her and the rest of the belgium guys.

ps small note: Lots of players couldnt get payed by the national federation to represent belgium, as we just dont have that kind of money. To do something about it, one player (Fabio Kenis) had a greath idea, and all the players got together to organise satelite events all over the country for a huge national first time ever 10ball event, training sessions, free sponserships, play vs a top player for a fixed price, food and drinks, etc.. In total all the belgium players collected close to 2000$ in total. (wich is huge for a small country as us) to sponser the players who have to pay everything for themselves. It was a huge succes and a perfect example of how the PLAYERS can do something about the low profile pool has.

In the same idea, a belgium dutch derby (both countrys are considered rivals for many many years) is being prepared and the PLAYERS are now organising a belgium vs holland (16players vs 16players) in the best of the conditions.

ok thats it with my rambling. Just thought you might like to hear some european story's, and see how we try to do something about it. Its not only in the states and the philipines that pool is strugling.
